Mechanical Engineer (NewYork Onsite)

This role focuses on the mechanical engineering and design of manipulation hardware for humanoid robots deployed in industrial environments. You will lead the end-to-end mechanical design of robotic arms, chassis, and manipulating subsystems, taking joints, actuators, transmissions, and end effectors from first-principles concepts through prototyping, testing, and production deployment. You will operate at the intersection of high performance and structural durability, optimizing for torque density, backdrivability, stiffness, and reliability under rigorous operating conditions. In this position, you will collaborate closely with controls, electrical, and firmware teams to ensure mechanical designs deliver responsive, well-sensed robotic behavior on physical hardware.
